I saw "Hula Girls" this week at the Japan Film Festival here in L.A.
It brought out the softy in me... just for a minute.

The theater was downtown so I just took the train.
Like two blocks from Little Tokyo.

Afterwards I had some sushi. No lie.

I've watched 4 episodes of this - so far it's really good.
I don't think it would fly on American TV - it's too "nice" of a show.

I met Damon Lindelof today - one of the guys who writes "Lost."
He was so ultra cool.
He was talking at lunch with a whole bunch of people - they were making jokes about sneaky things they could do while they were marching outside of ABC. I think I heard something about microchip in their sneakers.
Oh and he laughs funny.

I haven't written here in a long time.
My dad works in the TV business, and he's out of work since the WGA Strike started.
My mom, too.

My family aren't writers, but they know the WGA is right.
The producers are wrong.

Friday night was dead dead dead.
Even though it was "ticket-only" we managed to get into the concert after the first song.

D&L sucked. I mean SUCKED.
CST was better, but they had a string break (real story?) during the set, and their tour manager ran out down the hall to get one.
There was also a really bad attempt at a dance, but it was a dark meeting room with a bad DJ and cosplay break-dancing.
L.A. cons are starting to get sucky.

My sister gave me the DVD to watch. There's a reason I didn't go with her to see it in the movie theater but she's totally OMFG in love with it.
I put it on while I did my homework tonight.
